It scares me a little that they are putting 1000hp engines with instant and massive torque into these cars. How many wealthy numpties are going to floor it too early, coming out of a corner and end up returning the car to the earth.
For a very significant percentage of drivers, anything in excess of 200hp could be considered to be a health risk. However the up side is that this technology must be able to be tweaked to give a more modestly powered car a range of 500 or 600 miles, transforming it into proper every day transport.

Range of production version = 240 miles.
Why is it so often 240 miles? It is not even anything in km... And suggests to me a distinctly less than pleasing sub-200mile actual range.
