I do not get how they get away with it. Is it an MOT failure or something? Perhaps it should be when plates are spaced incorrectly. It should be an MoT failure, but of you change the plates back to correctly spaced ones for the test, there's nothing to stop you from swapping back straight afterwards. And they get away with it becasue there aren't enough (any?) traffic police around to stop them

XJ Bill is certainly memorable from when I lived in Guildford, but XJB 11 L or XJB 111 is not quite as memorable

Pretty sure MOT now requires fixings to be the same colour as the part of the number plate they go through so black fixings in the white/yellow areas are a no-no as are white/yellow fixings in any letter/numeral. Incorrect spacing is also now not allowed. I presume the owners of these plates have a normal set they put on the car when it goes for the MOT.

"SC14REY" - could have been quite funny on the right car, but it was on a Fiat 500 Abarth.

MG 13 UGH. Helpfully it had 'McHugh' noted at the bottom of the plate.

Unfortunately (or maybe not?), I didn't get a picture but this could to be one of the worst plates I've ever seen. It was on a 3 Series.
U C11NT U
Might have been Clint, but I'm there was a dot at the bottom of the 11....

Also BMW 20 L on a BMW 520d so, yes, it's a 2.0 Litre BMW.

X6 NOT on a RR Sport. Wonder whether it started life on an X6 or it's someone who's pleased he chose the RR instead.

I occasionally see BR 10 CHE on a Range Rover in S London. Found out it belongs to the owner of the largest commercial bakery in London which my friend has just become the Financial Controller for. He's married to Rocco Forte's niece, supplies various Michelin starred eateries and 4 and 5 star hotels as well as Five Guys and GBK (GBK order frozen; 5Guys have fresh every day and pay their invoices in 7 days - no wonder he has a few nice cars). He's a down to earth S London boy to boot.
Given all that I reckon having Brioche on his plate is the right thing.

Up at Herself's livery yard today and in waltzes an old (2006, as it turns out) Range Rover Vogue towing a horse trailer. Other than not especially liking the acres of chrome on it, never gave it a second thought other to to idly think to myself it was a wee bit unusual to see a non-gitplated RR round here.
Not so.
Apparently SW 54 NNE (so, spaced correctly) is Suzanne's "special" plate.
Nope, me neither .. .. ..

3092 on an Audi estate, did not bother looking for the model. Age and hip size? Both mycarcheck and DVLA say that number doesn't exist. Doesn't look like a UK registration; maybe Guernsey or another of the Channel Islands?
