I wonder how much more Boeing can take.

They have more issues than that, cracks found in "pickle forks", part of some 737NG's that hold the wings to the fuselage

That is fairly old news now though, there is so much more going on than meets the news. Apparently test pilots were warning of issues with the MCAS system before they self certified the aircraft as not requiring more training and certification of crew than the standard 737, which is part of the reason they flew into the ground. The crews were not trained on the system and the problems were omitted from the manual.

I'm not sure the issues in the Ryanair case are widespread. I've not seen them reported before and this considered newsworthy because it was indicated to apparently be "near the North Pole". The crew followed procedures, then flew and landed manually.

Ryanair's CEO is on the business news this morning talking about the need to cut costs.
This is 2 weeks after it was announced he's getting a 100 million Euro salary/bonus package!

Cutting cost's, probably why he awarded himself the dosh frankly but then that appears to be their sole aim, get the biggest salary/bonus and screw the passengers/staff.

Problem is, sooner or later the number of pilots etc will fall below that required to run a service and then they may as well fold the company, no doubt triggering a 'get me the hell out of here' golden parachute. Wow these guys are good.

The Dreamliner is in the news today about an engineer claiming it won't provide enough oxygen in a decompression.
