I think Bluebird was bigger than Stanza. Bluebird was probably equivalent to the Honda Accord? While Stanza was slightly smaller
My dad had a Stanza. It was, erm, dull.

I was about to say that my mother once had a Cherry...but then thought one shouldn't say such things about one's own mother...
...and anyway I realise now it was actually a Sunny.

Good Datsun chat guys.
My most surprising car is probably a Citroën 2CV, easily more than 15 years ago, but a friend and I thought we'd buy one and go racing in it... Regrettably, it never recovered from the 'strip down' stage.
Apart from that, probably my current TT. I'd been to see a Fiesta a couple of days before (too rusty) and was looking at more practical cars, then the surprisingly cheap TT came up. It's so frigging impractical, I'm not sure how long it will survive, but it still looks fantastic (and gets good mileage on Vidal Sassoon).

I too had an old RWD Datsun sunny when I was 18, me and a mate bought it for £50 from the scrappy to rag around his dad's farm - remains the best fun I've had for the money! When that died we replaced it with a Suzuki SC100 GWizz for £60

Not mine, but a coworker bought a Nissan 370Z Sport on Saturday. Great sounding engine, 6 speed manual gearbox, nicely fast. He’s upgraded from a 12 year old standard Corolla, big change!
Just had a passenger ride in it. By far the best Nissan I’ve been in this year!

We went from a scabby 2003 530d saloon to a 370Z but three years later chopped the 370Z in for a brand new Micra diesel Another 370Z appearing is still almost guaranteed though.

Talking of trends, which I think is what is happening here, what are the latest must nick motors by the discerning villain? Used to be Focus ST's etc but no idea what the latest nick nick fad is.

Are they primarily stolen for export to places with conspicuous bad taste?

Are they primarily stolen for export to places with conspicuous bad taste? Haven't you watched any bad driving vids on You Tube? The thick-necked, testosterone filled neanderthals from East of the Iron Curtain require a steady stream of premium motors to drive aggressively and store baseball bats in.

Interesting, I always thought the most stolen cars were things like Audi S3, Fiesta ST & Golf R That's pretty much what I would have said from my experience, but I guess the national stats could be different. Fast Audis, BMWs and VWs, along with Ranger Rovers seem to be the main targets I hear of through work. Mostly S or RS3s, RS6s, Golf Rs.

And shared some pictures and your initial thoughts! Yes indeed, that too. Yes sorry I really should. I took Stu, Andy and PG out in it the other week and they didn't seem too disappointed. It's a perfectly comfortable car to drive and yesterday's low morning temperature showed how good a feature the heated steering wheel is. Heated leather front and back is also keeping the rest of the family happy (apart from the wife who likes neither). To drive it isn't rapid but will quickly kick down to overtake with the steering wheel paddles switching straight to sport mode. I drive it in eco mode most the time, however, and it has no problem keeping up with traffic but can be a bit noisy when going up a steep hill or uphill on a motorway. The auto box doesn't have trouble knowing which gear to be in but gear changes aren't as quick as you'd expect from a dual clutch box. Grip isn't always great with it having 15" wheels pumped to 36psi. Overall though it's a good car to live with. The infotainment is good though I'm not sure the Infinity sound system is of a particularly high spec or whether they even plugged in the sub in the boot. Given the spec it's great value for just under £26k (its built in Korea so it's also subject to an import tariff). It needs a wash though so I'm not going to add any more pictures!

Pretty much every Police programme I watch on TV is guaranteed to have an RS3 or a Golf of some description either failing to stop and initiating a chase, or generally being driven in a cunty manner.
