The exchange rate is also seriously damaging companies who need to import their products: it will stabilise when we have some certainty but in the meantime it might well kill a few businesses and industries. On the other hand it's been great for us - we're the busiest we've been for 4 years and are recruiting again. You make milkshakes?

I see now that the mere act of being near a Brexit Party rally in possession of a take-away dairy-based beverage causes Nigel Farage to hide in his bus...
Why did we not all think of/discover this earlier!?!

Not sure I buy into the escalation, but I think it is totally counter productive.
And a waste of perfectly good milkshake.

There was the case of a Dutch politician, Pim Fortuyn, a few years ago who had cake thrown at him then two months later was shot dead. So I do buy into escalation and even though the Dutch seem to bump off their politicians more than most, we had Jo Cox. I don't think that anything physical is a legitimate protest regardless of who the victim is.

I just like the idea of Farage cowering in his bus.

I was just gobsmacked a Five Guys milkshake was £5.25. And they sell them in Newcastle.

Brexit (I put it in a glass of milkshake), Labour, Lib Dem and Plaid Cymru for us - oddly my daughter next door has also had a UKIP one - perhaps they sensed not to waste on us?

Never had a 5G burger but my wife likes their spicy chips, so after she spotted a 5G on Kensington High Street while we were out shopping the other day, she went in and ordered a small portion to take-away. Now, either they made a mistake or the portion sizes are very American, because we got given so many chips we could barely finish them between us. They were quite good.

I went to 5 Guys once with a colleague and was shocked to pay over £15 for a burger, chips and a coke. Free refills on the latter are no help. A couple of weeks later I went to McDonalds with the same colleague and one other and the whole cost was £19. It wasn't quite as good but still not that bad. Perhaps shouldn't mention that the McDonalds was bought for lunch while we were on a 1st Aid refresher course.....

For all the good it will do, I voted Change UK for the European elections. I have voted Conservative all my life, but the mess they have made of Brexit and all the infighting has put paid to that.

We had the Yorkshire Party on our ballots. Seeking a devolved Yorkshire apparently.

I had a Lib Dem leaflet first thing this morning. It must have been their strategy, because it said something like "Today, you need to vote for the Lib Dems". Sadly they hadn't really catered for Postal Voters. I posted my vote on Monday!

I didn’t bother voting as I had no clue who to vote for or who my local MEP even is (there’s an old joke that if you know who your local MEP is, you ARE your local MEP!) and none of the parties have given me a tangible reason to back them.

Not much post arrived whilst I was away thank goodness. In the small pile of stuff were leaflets from UKIP and the Brexit parties.... nothing from the major political parties.
