It's good but not sure it's especially special. You're always free to have a teeny deposit and the retailer contribution isn't quite what it could be (brokers could get you another £400 on top). Plus that's with zero options and a low mileage allowance.

Can't argue with that deal, I really should have a go in a 140i, loved my old 130i.

That's a very good deal I think, if you would want to buy outright.
£359 * 48 = £17,232
Final payment = £ 13,054
Total cost incl all finance charges = £30,286
Broad speed quote for a boggo 5 door manual (assume no metallic paint) = £ 26,739.
Cost of 3 years servicing upfront = £ 300/400 ?
Borrow £27,000 from Tesco bank over 4 years = £640 a month (£30,735 paid back in total)
Or - borrow over 5 years = £528 a month (£31,699 paid back in total)

I hadn't spotted the servicing point. That said, in 32k miles, you're unlikely to need more than one service....my 440i is suggesting it won't need its first service before 19k miles.

I'm seeing more and more examples of the M140i about. Almost commonplace now. I wonder if, once people realise it isn't anywhere near as cheap to run as their previous 118d that good used examples of these will be plentiful and decently priced.

So am I and I'm not surprised as they are decent value on a PCP. I had a look at the weekend and an M140i (£40k list) on a 15k miles/year deal was just over £90 a month cheaper than a £40k Golf R.

They aren't that expensive to run though, especially given what's on offer performance-wise?
Putting aside monthlies, mine cost me absolutely nothing except fuel, tax and insurance (and a set of windscreen wipers) over 4 years and 30k miles. Low 30s mpg is hardly exorbitant, the tax is £140 pa and it's not an especially expensive car to insure. I didn't even get through a set of tyres.

As I mentioned elsewhere I paid nearly £500 for a routine service and filters on the 320 so I'd be happy to 'take the risk' on something like a 140, as long as it was warrantied for stuff like the turbos.

Significantly cheaper than a V60 T6, that's for certain.

The M140i must be on a great deal at the moment. I get Facebook posts from a BMW dealer showing all the cars they are delivering each day and there have been an unusually large number of M140i's over the past couple of weeks.

It's very good value for the performance and package on offer - esp as a comfortably sub-£40k proposition under the new tax rules. And I've seen quite a few in sedate colour combos recently being driven by older people who have presumably downsized but like the drivetrain and available spec that doesn't feel like a poor relation to what they had before.

They're doing them for £299/month but with £6,500 down at the moment. £2k down gets you in the car for £410/month.

I put £6k down on the 440i, being broadly what I got back from the M135i, and pay £390/month over 4 years.
