The Walking Dead is crap, I really don't know how it has lasted seven seasons. It just seems to be a load of unlikeable characters bitching at each other and hardly ever meeting an undead person.
After watching iZombie and Santa Clarita Diet I now prefer my zombie programmes to be more light hearted! Which reminds me, I bought Warm Bodies on DVD about 3 years ago, I should make a point of watching it.

Last Man On Earth on Amazon Prime is a pretty good apocalyptic comedy with no zombies. Check it out.

Yes, that was decent. The Replacement was good too. I'm looking forward to Line of Duty again.

The replacement has Vicky McClure in right ? It's on my List to watch as the programme looks pretty good anyway, but having McClure in makes it unmissable for me
Silent witness was also good this year . Especially the last episode

I must admit I find it difficult to make the time, or have the inclination, to watch much on TV these days. It might not help in that regard having no subscription TV such as Sky, BT and the like to choose from; basic Freeview is it for us!

We had something similar to Freesat - a Sky Box & dish but no subscription - but last week half of the channels got blocked, sadly all the ones we watched like Comedy Central and most of the documentaries. Weird that it happened at the same time as the 2nd Indy Ref was being pushed

On the topic of walking dead, it was old well before the end but at least they only had walking zombies, Nation Z had them running around and swarming up walls like ants on the warpath. No subscription channels either and my box is so old that much of the on demand stuff is inaccessible.
On top gear, I think Matt Leblanc is quite good and definitely has the edge over any of the old cast and Mr Harris carries the star in segment quite brilliantly.

The bit I like most about MLB is his comic timing, as you'd expect from an actor versed in such things.

I am getting in to the oldies, Fleetwood Mac and the like, Sting 25 years selection too so I am probably regressing a tad but there is little out there to interest me. Passenger, All the little lights", Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Phil Lynott. Basically a whole heap of old stuff.
I really appreciate my Bose docking station as it enable to have music anywhere in the flat, not that this means much in a flat this size. I do miss having my one luxury from my last address is a bath which was a boon when arthritis got too much a bath, music, a book and a great cup of coffee made with my Krupps Innisia. Pure indulgence which means something when you are stuck with a shower like this one here. It has some of the pure force into the waterstream of a mouse farting.

I've already laughed at this series of TG more than in the final 5 years of the predictable three - at least the jokes are more subtle and you can't see them coming. Wheeler Dealers took a turn for the worse when it went all American but looking forward to seeing what Ant Anstead makes of it. Aaron Kaufmann leaving Fast 'n' Loud may well signal the beginning of the end I think - just that one bloke was funnier than the whole of Top Gear. In the meantime Car SOS are doing some great cars and going on last night's episode, they've realised that Tim Shaw's 'blagging' is starting to get a bit tired.

Aaron Kaufmann leaving Fast 'n' Loud may well signal the beginning of the end I think OMG I didn't know that. Having said that, I am surprised that he put up with Rawlings for so long. Any idea what he is going on to?

I always thought Kaufmann was a bit too intense, using too many words spoken too quickly. Also thought Fast N Loud had lost its way a bit - the first series was pretty decent but it went downhill a bit when they all realised they're celebrities. Could be that he's 'leaving' it for viewing figures reasons rather than actually leaving - it's clear they have a lot more going on in the background of that huge garage than you see on the TV.
I like Turn N Burn, not least because the 'star' is a dead ringer for one of my best mates, but I think there's only 1 series.

I found it funny that one of the reasons he gave Richard was too many cars in too tight a deadline, then he agreed a five weeks build with the other two jokers... I reckon it'll go the way of American Chopper with the programme being split between the bigger Gas Monkey and a whatever Aaron calls his own place.

Just reaching the end of 'The Crown' and love it.Which has inspired my next reading material,so any recommendations for a good CHurchill biography appreciated.
Watched star wars rogue one and it was ok,the carrie fisher bit was a bit freaky.
Reaching end of Billions series one and it has faded a bit, started to be a bit dull.
Also series 2 of better call saul which was excellent, really stepped it up from series one.

Great TG episode tonight. The Chiron is the ultimate in wily waving and I am glad it didn't win. Stunning to look at, mind.

I enjoyed that too, even the segment with the Twingo, Smart and Up! was better than I thought it would be.

Last Night was brilliant - loved it from start to finish
The Chiron is stunning - in the overhead studio shot where there was a veyron and Chiron side by side , it was only then I noticed how ancient the Chiron makes the veyron look

The Veyron has never really floated my boat that much but the Chiron is next level and looks pretty damn good too.

it's clear they have a lot more going on in the background of that huge garage than you see on the TV. I don't believe for one moment that GMG is a real garage and probably has a larger production crew (in terms of building the cars not the TV crew) than we ever see, plus you see cars that were supposedly sold ages ago in the background sometimes - plus with their merchandise, restaurant etc there's more to the money making than just the TV show. If you just want to see amazing custom builds though, nothing comes close to Bitchin' Rides - God some of those cars must rack up a huge bill. Top Gear getting better and better - some of the banter between Harris and Le Blanc actually starting to look real now - plus I like the fact that there's not two guys fawning to one guy. And of course the driving is better than it ever was.

TG does seem to be going from strength to strength - it'll just get really good and that'll be the end of the series for god knows how long.

I thought that was probably the best episode so far this series. The Twingo bit had a whiff of old, old Top Gear about it (the Tiff/VBH era), and I thought that was nice.
The Chiron is amazing, and the race wasn't bad too, although the chummy bits at the end felt a bit unnecessary.
Good effort though.

The Chiron is incredible. I really look forward to the ongoing top speed attempts. Like Ed, I was never particularly moved by the Veyron but the Chiron does excited me. I do hope they get one to Prescott.

Funny to read the mention of old stuff, I am going to see Depeche Mode in Sept, portents are not good though, as I have seen Eric Clapton/Jeff Beck a couple of years ago and was deeply unimpressed, Beck actually played Moon River(omg).......
